Are We Getting Stupider?

American Kids Dumber than Dirt. Warning: The Next Generation Might Just Be the Biggest pile Of Idiots In US History
By: Mark Mortford, SF Gate Collumnist

"He speaks not merely of the sad decline in overall intellactual acumen among students over th years, not merely of the astonishing spread of lazy slackerhood, or the fact that cell phones and ipods and excess TV expoure are, absolutly and without reservation, ahort-circuting the miinids of the upcoming generations. Of this, he says, there is zero doubt." Okay well I don't know this guy so I don't know if he's a wack job or if he's lik e the teacher in Lois Duncan's Killing Mr.Griffin and thinks that if you can't write like a college scollar then your as smart as a pile of ( excuse the word) shit. But he might have A point, this doesn't mean he's right! while I'm on this topic, check out this vid that was the first thing that I thought of when I read the article.
"Dear God, why are we thinking we're stupid?" Oh! I remember it's 'cause so much pressure is put on kids these days that many of them break! Thats why we think that kids are getting stupider! So yeah, if people lay off then kids will relax and probably do better.

New England

New England 24, Indianapolis 20
By: Dave Goldberg, AP football writer
Published November 4, 2007

It was hyped as the biggest NFL regular season game ever, the Patriots stayed on course for an unbeaten season as Brady threw two of his three touchdown passes in a four minute span in the 4th quarter Sunday to overcome a 10-piont deficit and beat Super Bowl champion Indianapolis, 24-20. AHH... this was a great game espicially since I bet $20 on the Patriots. All through the game I was waiting for my dad to call it off- he never did- and then when Peyton Manning fumbled... it was the greatest feeling in the world! Then it was a matter of waiting. I love football! AHH!

2-4-08:
They didn't win the Super Bowl! I kind of hate them now after Tom Brady's little I'm quite mad that New York didn't DESTROY Brady but they hit him a lot. So that's a bit of a compensation. A bit. Can I hear Rematch?!

2 Million Minutes

Two Million Minutes- The Documentry
By: 2mminutes.com

Regardless of nationality, as soon as a student completes the 8th grade, the clock starts ticking. from that moment the student has approxamatly... two million minutes until high school grauation. The whole idea that that is the amount of time until I graduate is slightly scary. I've already messed up about a thousand of those minutes. However if I work hard then I should be fine. My only worry is how I'm going to get the attention of a good football and academic school, like USC, then life should be easier for me later on in life. that's what everyone wants- an easy life. Unfortunatly not all of us are given equal oppertunites. Like the kids in Africa they have to fight a day to day war to live. No one in the United States know what that must be like. Including myself- I have had hardships- but none stack up to that! Much respect to the kids in Africa.

Neanderthal Speak

DNA shows that Neanderthals had gene critical for speech
Nicholas Wade, New York Times

Neanderthals, an archaic human species that dominated Europe until the arrival of modern humans some 45,000 years ago, posessed a critical gene known to underlie speech, according to DNA evidence that was recovered from two inddividuals excavated in El Sidron, a cave in Northern Spain. Well I can't really say how amazed I am. Wow. Homo Sapiens have been on the Earth for 45,000 years! That's crazy! It makes me think: what are we beoming? That is a good question, however that is errelevent to this blog. Do I believe it? Well yeah! they have DNA evidence! You cant beet that.

Global Warming and SF

Scientists gauge greenhouse gases above S.F. in global warming experiment
By: Jane Kay, Chronicle Enviroment Writer

With probes stuck high on Sturo Tower, they are trying to understand if the state's agressive anti- warming laws are working.Well, let's just say that I better not be cutting down on my energy consumsion in order for this to not work! I love the enviroment and if the test says that we aren't making any head way then I will be ticked. Now I konw that I'm not the only person in San Francisco, but still! The people that don't do a damn thing are the ones who bi*** the most!

how to write an autobiographical essay

HOW TO WRITE AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY
by: www.sarasota.k12.fl.us/bhs/bryan/bryan_auto.html

" 'Autobiographies have been writen since 400 C.E. when Christian leader, Siant Augustine, wrote his.' " Okay. If there was a guy in 400 that wrote his autobiography then why aren't we told that when we're in history? Granted it has little to do with history, but that's important! If, like so many people say, we have to write one to get a job and the ability to write one is a gaduation requirement then why not tell us where the idea of writing about one's life came from? I just doesn't make sense to me! The website I linked is good at explaining how to write an autobiography. So if your intrested check it out.

Children of Bodom

Biography

Well this is the only foriegn band that like: Children of Bodom!!
I owe the exposure to them to a girl named Gailina Shablin.

Formed in 1993 and hailing from the city of Espoo, Finland, this young Finnish group took there name from one of the biggest murder mysteries in the history of their home town and Finnish crime: the murders at lake Bodom. The vocalist Alexi Laiho writes awesome songs! There "funniest" song was their version of brittny Spears' "Oops I Did it Again." If by any chance you want to here this steller song click here.
